Spine Chilling Experience!
Our daughter, Nikki, husband Ewan, and the two little boys, Quinn and Torin, visited us in Eastbourne last weekend. Quinn is an extremely lively three-year-old who needs plenty of exercise to burn off some of his excess energy. To give his harassed Mum a break, I decided to take him for a long walk to the base of the Beachy Head cliffs.
Quinn had a wonderful time running ahead of me on the prom and hiding in the sea shelters. It was whilst I was retrieving him from inside one of these shelters that I had a very unnerving experience. I felt a bone chilling tingle down my spine and a strong perception of evil. Grabbing Quinn, I got out of there as fast as I could! I felt rather shaken, and it was a minute or two before I realised that this particular shelter had been the scene of a horrific murder in January, about a week after we arrived in Eastbourne. A rough sleeper in her 30s, called Jennifer Kiley, was raped, stabbed and her body set on fire. The police have offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her murderer.
Although the sea shelter had been cleaned up, and freshly painted, after this appalling incident, it would appear that the terrible event has left an indelible impression behind, which can be picked up by someone like me, who has sensitivity to atmospheric vibes.
I feel that it would be beneficial if one of the local clergy performed a blessing at the sea shelter to cleanse it of the malign atmosphere.
