I wanted to share with you a little meditation and following that some really interesting links to sites of interest. I hope you enjoy both.......

There is a whiteness all over the grass and the trees as a heavy November frost clings to everything. The sky is almost uniformly grey and dull as it often is for weeks on end. I stood in the dining room and looked up over the houses and the hills to a changing pattern of grey and an almost light and thought how beautiful is the world in which we live and I stayed there for perhaps ten minutes transfixed by the beauty and thanking God for all that He has done in my life. Sometimes moments are very special and God seems very close indeed and as my heart soared in morning prayer I was so glad that my life is so intricately bound up with the Lord. Sometimes I forget that the deep underlying peace that fills my life is not shared by others. It can still come after all these years of ministry as a shock to realise there are broken and faltering hearts, people racked with guilt and pain and people who put their heads down and just get on with life. People who don't know what it is to live with God as his child and to find their prayers answered on a daily basis for things as mundane as sleeplessness or difficult as pain.

I am not sure why these words have formed in my mind this morning but they are for the moment a reflection as in ice that covers the ground of what the Lord is saying to my soul this day.

"Come unto me........" such words seems to hang in the air, puncturing the silence with the offer of peace.
